Ridgeway Family Health is committed to providing comprehensive, primary health care services to medically underserved residents of Henry County and the neighboring areas of Pittsylvania County as well as Rockingham County, NC, regardless of the ability to pay.


This health center is a Health Center Program grantee under 24 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Joanna Carter, FNP

Joanna Carter, FNP

Joanna Carter is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) at Ridgeway Family Health. In 2017, she graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from South University in Savannah, Georgia (Summa cum laude). She earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Liberty University in 2014 and obtained her Associate’s of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Patrick Henry Community College in 2004.

Prior to joining Ridgeway Family Health, she worked with Apogee Physicians as a hospitalist at Sovah and previous to that was an ED nurse for thirteen years.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and reading nonfiction. In spring and summer months, she likes to spend time outdoors.

 

Amanda Keith, FNP

Amanda Keith, FNP

Amanda Keith is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois, where she received her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Keith provides patient-centered care to adults and children. She is welcoming new patients at Ridgeway Family Health.

Ashley Williams, FNP-C

Ashley Williams, FNP-C

Ashley Williams is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Ridgeway Family Health. She graduated with a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Walden University in 2019 and an Associate’s degree in Nursing from Patrick Henry Community College in 2013.

She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Nurses Association and the Oncology Nursing Society.

Williams has experience in multiple areas throughout the hospital setting, most recently as an Acute Care Services Director. She is committed to implementing patient-centered care to individuals of all ages at Ridgeway Family Health.

Alisa Branch, LPC

Alisa Branch, LPC

Alisa Branch is Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro with a Master of Science Degree in Community Agency Counseling and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Branch will collaborate with other providers and work with children, adolescents and adults in treating mental and behavioral concerns. She will divide her time between both offices – Bassett Family Practice and Ridgeway Family Health.
