Martinsville Henry County (MHC) Coalition for Health and Wellness is committed to providing primary health and integrated behavioral health services at two Federally Qualified Health Center sites by promoting health, reducing health risk factors and increasing access to medical services, primarily for the uninsured and underserved in the Martinsville-Henry County area. Additionally, the Coalition offers chronic disease self-management, medication assistance, and care coordination to services to patients and local residents.

This Director level position is responsible for managing and overseeing Human Resource function and systems to include employee benefits, screening and hiring, personnel files, employee handbook and policy manual, job descriptions and staff development/training. This individual is responsible for ensuring all organizational systems and practices are compliant with federal and state regulations and continually monitors, assesses and recommends systems and practices to recruit, develop and retain a highly motivated and qualified workforce. Additionally, this position will work with the Coalition’s Compliance Program in concert with the Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal and coaching skills. Demonstrates ability to work independently to meet deadlines with tight time constraints and has the ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines and achieve results in a team environment.  Provides strong leadership skills to include motivation and morale and embraces the organizational mission and delivers goals, vision, and strategy.  Must have ability to travel as needed.  Exhibits proven ability to effectively work in a collaborative, fast-paced, team environment while exhibiting dependability, initiative, and problem-solving skills.  Maintains proven computer proficiency with MS office products to include MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, minimum of five (5) years in Human Resources or Business Management required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Demonstrated knowledge and abilities in pre-employment screening, training, development, terminations, and other personnel actions/responsibilities.  Working knowledge of OSHA, EEO, FMLA, Workers’ Comp, state and federal regulations, benefits, Wage-Hour, and general employment systems preferred.  Must also be knowledgeable in the areas of talent attraction, development, team-building, coaching, and retention.
