On May 29, 2018, The Virginia Health Care Foundation celebrated the enrollment of 100,000 children in FAMIS (Family Access to Medical Insurance Security) by their Project Connect outreach workers. The outreach workers made this milestone possible by identifying and enrolling thousands of eligible, uninsured children in Virginia’s FAMIS child health insurance programs.
Ann Walker, FAMIS/Project Connect Outreach Advocate from the MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness, attended the event in Richmond on Tuesday. MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness is 1 of 13 Project Connect grantees across the state of Virginia.
