Partnership increases access to mammograms
Through a partnership with the MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness and UVA Health (UVA Cancer Institute and UVA Breast Care) and New College Institute, nine local women were able to conveniently access mammograms that may not have able to receive them otherwise.

Helping to prevent childhood obesity
September is Childhood Obesity Awareness month. According to the CDC, about 1 in 5 American children has obesity. Compared to children with healthy weight, children with overweight or obesity are at a higher risk for asthma, sleep apnea, bone and joint problems, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
